Last updated December 1, 2017
AdMax Local, LLC. and its parents, subsidiaries, agents and affiliates (collectively, “AML”, “us”, or “our”) provides technology solutions (“Solutions”) to subscribers (“Subscribers”) providing search marketing, social media marketing and online advertising services. In connection with the Solutions, we make available our website(s), at AdMaxLocal.com (collectively, the “AdMax Local Site”).
AdMax Local provides this privacy policy to inform you of our policies and procedures related to the collection, use and disclosure of information we receive in connection with our provision of the Solutions: (i) through any software provided by AdMax Local in connection with the Solutions; (ii) through the AdMax Local Site, (iii) from Subscriber customers and/or end-users of or visitors to (“End Users”) websites generated by the Solution (collectively, “Generated Sites”). Also, this privacy policy includes disclosures related to our collection of information that can be used to identify an individual or entity (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”).
If you access the Solutions through a Subscriber, your data may be subject to such Subscriber’s own privacy policy in addition to AdMax Local's Privacy Policy; please be aware that AdMax Local is not responsible for and cannot control the privacy practices of these Subscribers or other websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies for these other providers and websites, as they may differ from ours.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by AdMax Local through the Solutions.
What Information We Collect
Data from the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites
In order to enable our Solutions, we provide our technology on the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites, which technology collects non-PII from the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites. We use our technology to collect End Users’ interactions--such as clicks on advertisements, impressions and conversions--with the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites and/or advertisements generated by the Solutions, whether on the AdMax Local Site, a single Generated Site or across sites, but all on an anonymous basis (“Raw Tracking Data“).
Our technology may employ tracking pixels on the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites. A tracking pixel is a piece of code embedded on a web page of the AdMax Local Site or Generated Sites that collects information about visitors’ behavior on that web page. Tracking pixels can either be provided by the Subscriber, advertising channels, affiliate networks and/or by AdMax Local. The tracking pixels may include commands to create cookies.
A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on a user’s browser (on any type of device). AdMax Local’s cookie does not collect any personally identifiable information. AdMax Local’s cookie may contain a unique random identifier that enables tracking activity from a browser that is associated with products and Solutions of a Subscriber.
Data Provided via the AdMax Local Site
We may utilize cookies on the AdMax Local Site. We may also collect statistical and other data related to use of our Site or Solutions, usage patterns or other behavioral information. This information is collected and used as non-PII, for example, to improve the functioning of the Solution.
Data Collected from Third Parties
We may collect information from our Subscribers or third-party partners, and may combine it with our own data. We use this information only to provide the Solutions to the Subscriber who provided us with such information.
How We Use Collected Information
From the AdMax Local Site and Generated Sites
We analyze the Raw Tracking Data, including by combining such data with IP addresses or other non-PII information that we may obtain from Subscribers or other partners, and produce reports for our Subscribers. For example, we may aggregate performance data for keywords used in search engines, and generate a report that includes, for each keyword, the number of clicks, the click through rate or other performance data.
We may implement external algorithms on the aggregated Raw Tracking Data collected in order to further study general trends, marketing related elements (for example, keyword value), and other digital marketing information. Such algorithms may be used for the purpose of enhancing our Solutions, including bid policies, keyword selections and general location targeting.
AdMax Local retains available Raw Tracking Data indefinitely. Processed or aggregated Raw Tracking Data generated by AdMax Local may be retained as well.
Sharing of Data with Third Parties
We do not share, distribute, sell or rent any of collected information in our possession with non-Subscriber third parties, except in the following circumstances:
- We may share information if the information is required by law in order to prevent, investigate, or take action regarding illegal activities, situations involving potential threats to physical safety, rights, property or of any person, suspected fraud and breach of contract.
- We may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including information collected under this privacy policy, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.
- For the purpose of providing and operating our Solutions, we may share Raw Tracking Data and other non-PII information with Subscribers and trusted third-party partners. We require that these third parties comply with our privacy policy.
- We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Solutions, to provide the Solutions on our behalf, to perform Site-related Solutions (e.g., without limitation, maintenance Solutions, database management, web analytics and improvement of the AdMax Local Site’s features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and Solutions are used. These third parties may have access to personally identifiable information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Although we do not share personally identifiable information except as described in this privacy policy, we cannot guarantee that others, including third parties using our Solutions, do not or will not use information we provide and combine it with personally identifiable information that they may obtain from other sources.
